I would say the self tour. You can go at your own pace and there's plenty to see. But then again I am from Cape Cod, Massachusetts...so going to a sandbar for the day isn't a novelty to me. If I had never done that, I would say do the sandbar.

I was going to ask the exact same question! ;););)

 

The descriptions on cruise planner make it sound like you'll have instructors with you on the sandbar, but just a basic safety orientation on the all day. I've never snorkled so I'm concerned that I won't have enough instruction on the all-day. But the description of what you can see on the all-day sounds really cool!
