Wine Procedures?

I know that most wine, beer and spirits are included on PG cruises, but how is the wine handled? Do you order a bottle? Or is it served by the glass only? If the former, is that bottle kept for you from meal to meal until you finish it? Also, is there any kind of a wine list online?

Thanks!!

The wine is served by the glass both in the dining venues, bars and in the staterooms. If you order a premium wine then it is up to you whether you take with you at the end of the meal or have them hold it for you. Don't worry you will have plenty of wine all during your cruise. Enjoy!

A bit more re wine on PG. A red and a white is featured (poured) each dinner. Sometimes they are very good, sometimes (to us) just okay. If you are not happy with the night's selection, you may ask if they could serve you one offered previously, or you may pay for a wine from the 'reserve' wine list. We've never felt the need to do the latter. We had some very fine French white burgundy in December which paired nicely with seafood. Had quite a bit of that... one 'problem' is that the fine staff refill your glass before you have finished it... makes it a little hard to keep track. After dinner, you may enjoy a glass of port, cognac, bailey's coffee, etc. Sigh.... life is good on the PG. Have a great trip.

  • 3 weeks later...

Make friends with the wine steward it is easy to make friends with everybody on board...tell him what you like to drink wine wise and he will let you know what he has and will remember what you like for dinner each night...They never dropped a full bottle on your table no matter what unless of course you purchase off the list, but we were never lacking for wine, food, good times and wonderful excursions on the cruise
