Scotsgirl01 Posted February 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Good morning - does anyone know if Royal Caribbean have set times when they offer 2-for-1 deals; free drink packages etc - looking to book a cruise to the Med for May next year (2019) for 8 people and just wondering if there's a best time? We are looking for a fly/cruise so might have to wait until June until flights are released before we can do anything. Thanks in advance :)
SausPud Posted February 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2018 With Royal Caribbean, the best time to book is as early as possible. With the deals and offers, the cruise price has already gone up so you are not saving anything. Example. Summer cruise booked at Easter the year before. Saw offer of pay full fare for 1st passenger and get half price for the second passenger (works out to be 25% off) and free drinks package and free OBC of $200. With this new offer, it still worked out $500 more than what I paid at Easter and add the extras on.
Scotsgirl01 Posted February 14, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted February 14, 2018 SausPud - thanks for your quick reply. As there are 8 of us going - booking quickly was what I'd prefer to do. Any idea as you obviously travel with RC what their drink package price is at the moment. Thanks
SausPud Posted February 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Depends on which drinks package you pick, but the full deluxe one is around £45 per day. What I have seen and this happens a lot, is wait and they do a 30% off day for extras, like dining, drinks, spa etc. The best ones I find are normal on a national holiday like Fathers day or a bank holiday weekend. Once booked, just keep an eye out on the forums and your online booking account for the sale.
boontj2003 Posted February 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2018 You're going to the Med which is expensive enough! Get a steal on he cruise and use your OBC for the drink package. Or book w celebrity while they are having the 3 free now! Enjoy, loved our med cruises!!!
SausPud Posted February 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Also, I'm at the London Cruise Show this Saturday, hoping to find out what is being released for the Med 2019, as Independence hasn't been announced yet and with her refit this year, she would be a good choice. Will let you know if I find anything out.

martyap Posted February 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2018 And since Med cruises are so port intensive you should decide if beverage packages are even worth it.......usually not that many sea days. We booked an October 2018 Symphony Med cruise last April and the cruise fare we paid then is more than double the price today. Plus.....both adults in a stateroom are required to purchase packages. xcell Posted February 14, 2018 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2018 I don't think there are set times when they offer discounts, it is probably based on supply and demand. Our March 2018 cruise about a month ago had a BOGO free for specialty restaurants but its no longer available.
