mystic51 Posted February 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2018 is it possible to have a brandy old fashion and martini in the Diamond Lounge or with the free drink vouchers during happy hour.. thank you. Also, where are the smoking areas on Harmony of the Seas?
Clarea Posted February 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2018 Smoking areas are the casino inside, and the port side of the outside of decks 15 and 16.
cb at sea Posted February 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2018 In the lounge, it's whatever brand of booze they supply...but they can make pretty much anything you want. Whatever you can get in the lounge, you can get in any bar with your voucher. If "top shelf" liquor isn't in the lounge, you can't use your voucher for it at a bar, either. Both of these drinks would be available based on the current Diamond drinks list, though I think they might have cognac rather than brandy, depending on the ship. I wouldn't turn that down in any event. By the way, what part of Wisconsin are you from? That's the only state I know of where old fashioneds are made with brandy. I grew up there and didn't realize they are made with rye or bourbon elsewhere, typically. Same thing with manhattans in Wisconsin.

That is funny.... when I saw brandy old fashion in the title my first thought was that the poster is from Wisconsin! We are from WI and my fathers favorite drink was always a brandy old fashion. WisconsinFan Posted March 1, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Also another Wisconsite here. Just a warning, if you get a good brandy old fashioned outside of Wisconsin I would be very, very surprised :) Every time I try to order one I get a very interesting drink- and not in a good way! Had great ones on Celebrity in December and all included in complimentary drink package!! Love Celebrity... we received free drink package, free gratuities and $375 ship board credit... Balcony concierge cabin for $750. This will be our first cruise on RCCL in 10 years.. Celebrity is just too hard to beat
WisconsinFan Posted March 1, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Maybe I will have to give it a try. I had given up when I ordered one in Illinois (near Chicago) and didn't get an Old Fashioned and once in Utah. That one was pretty funny....what I got had milk in it :) If you ever make it to Madison, WI you must go to the Old Fashioned on the Square. Celebrity is just too hard to beat Well, to be honest you will notice many differences between the lines, and of course the things that have "disappeared" on RCI in the past ten years since you cruised with them. We have enjoyed every single Royal cruise we have taken, but we absolutely LOVED the service, food, and no-smoking casino on Celebrity. I hope you have a wonderful time. :) . CntPAcruiser Posted March 6, 2018 #12 Share Posted March 6, 2018 At the risk of being pedantic, cognac is brandy. That is, of course, correct. My meaning was that it is rather more refined than the brandy normally used in Wisconsin for an Old Fashioned.
