Breakfast at the Wipe Out cafe this morning. One of my favorite spots.... made to order eggs, and the pretty standard windjammer breakfast items, buffet style. Generally pretty quite area, and nice view

Is there seating available in the wipeout café?

Grand Suite on Deck 6...this is a perfect location. Even deck wise, regardless of cabin category. Steps to the boardwalk, one deck down to the promenade, 2 up to Central Park. You can pretty much use the stairs, anywhere from this location, and only use the elevators to go to the pool decks. Unless, of course, you have a foot injury like me. I’m now “that” person who annoys the heck out of everyone taking the elevator up one floor [emoji849]

Totally agree with you on Deck 6. I've sailed the Allure 3x, going back in September and always request Mid-to-Aft cabin. & although I've sailed the Allure 3x, still love learning new things!! Thanks.

Thanks to all for the nice comments and encouragement! Reviews are always great to help pass the time until my next sailing [emoji847]

Oceanaria in the Aqua Theatre show last night.......

I must say that of all the aqua shows I’ve seen (Allure, Oasis and Harmony) , this one is still my favorite. Amazing talent. I read a long time ago on cruise critic to book this show for the evening on Day 1, because sea and weather conditions can cause the shows later in the week to be cancelled. Definitely good advise, our cabin steward said they cancelled several shows on last weeks sailings.

As someone commented before, if you want a view of the port, choose an even numbered room in the tower... we are on the 12th floor.

It is the odd numbered rooms that have a view of the cruise port. The even nimbered rooms you look out over the bar and pool.

I am really enjoying your review. We get on board on Sunday as you guys get off. Thank you for all the suite pictures. We too have a grand suite booked (on deck 10). Your camera takes great photos, what do you shoot? I took a crash course over this past weekend to learn how to use my Canon rebel t6i. I've had it a while but never really used it outside of the automatic mode. I'm excited to practice my new skills on this trip.

Does the TV in the room also have a DVD player? My 2.5 year old can't go the day without watching Polar Express... 300 times since Christmas lol.

No, it’s the opposite...we stayed in room 1224, and had a view of the port from our balcony.

Really enjoying your review & love your pictures. Thanks so much for sharing.

One question in regards to the hotel, could you tell me the approx. rate at that hotel & did they include the shuttle to the port? We have always stayed in Hollywood, but would maybe want to try something closer to the port. Thanks for any info.

Thank you for the review. I've subscribed and am following along. We've been on Allure 3X, but not for a few years and are booked in October. We always have a balcony, but are trying one of the end cabins on the boardwalk for this sailing. We also book the aqua show for the first night, just in case. On Oasis, it was cancelled numerous nights and we didn't have the opportunity to see it at all!

I love the Shows at a glance sheet. My complaint is I don't understand why Royal doesn't post that In the cruise planner. When the shows are released, I have to go through everything and make my own chart to decide when to reserve which show.

I suspect because the shows change from time to time and they can't be bothered to keep it accurate.

Probably, I manage, but it would be so much simpler if the shows were posted in a chart form...but, what am I thinking? It's surprising the website works at all!
