Once the casino offers start coming now- they seem to keep coming.  The offers are not as good as they used to be, but there sure are a lot of them.  Free cruise offers are rare except for the folks that spend a ton of time in the casino and have a pretty big budget.  However, the offers for "premier" cruises have increased.  We have not cruised for nearly a year and I keep getting new Premier offers as soon as the old one expires.  Received offers for an Ultra cruise too- and there is no way I would have qualified for an Ultra cruise based upon my gambling last year if they had not lowered the threshold for offers significantly.  The perks on the Premier cruises are not nearly as good as they used to be, but the DOU in the casino and a bit of gambling money thrown in makes it worthwhile still for me and my husband since we would be taking a cruise anyway.

Just got off a 5 day New Years Cruise - got my Free certificate last night of cruise and have three weeks to book, currently have three casino offers - premier, getaway, and repeat free. Agree with poster above, once you start getting offers, they keep coming. Repeat certificate is best deal IMO.

The reason for this thread ... The casino staff is certainly hush-hush about what the offers are and what it takes to get them. Or, maybe there are better offers that people aren't getting or don't know about or would be close to getting with a slight change in their casino play. Let's all share our knowledge with each other.

 

Second reason ... Sometimes we may miss seeing an offer in the VIFP member deals. So, by the time it's noticed, the rates have gone up or the casino offer cabins are sold out. There is a thread for AARP gift cards where folks notify each other when they're available so if you're subscribed to that thread you get a heads up. I'm hoping when casino offers come up everyone will all post to this thread that new offers are available so we can go check our offers (you will need to subscribe to this thread to get the updated posts > in Thread tools at upper right corner of thread ). Also, I'm hoping people will post details on what offers they are seeing.

 

My offers range from a free balcony with 300 dollars in fun play to free inside with 500 in fun play.  All include DOU for both my husband and myself.  I have three of the cruises booked this year and another two for next year.  I usually play Three Card poker with a few slots thrown in.

From what I understand they do charge the 3% however it might be best to check on the Royal Caribbean boards. I haven't been on RC in 4 years.

Here the current offers, my "Slot Playing" wife has waiting.

I myself, have never touched a slot machine, only playing Black Jack, & Craps, and never get any offers except "Bounce  Back".

 

Kind of like Premiers better, than Ultra's, because the casino is not as crowded.

That is a good offer!  We have not had an offer like that for quite a while.  We took a Journeys cruise from Galveston to San Juan a few years ago for $100 inside room, with $100 obc, and casino drinks.  So we took an 11 day cruise for port fees and gratuities.  We were able to use the offer to book 3 cruises that way in one year and took advantage of it.  I did lose some gambling, but not nearly as much as we benefited on the offer.   LOL.  Probably why I have not had a "free" cruise since then!

Has anyone else been doing the slot spins in the 20 cruises in 2020 promotion?  Just curious if anyone has won a gift card yet. 

 

Hubby and I have been spinning everyday, but alas no winners.  However, I do seem to keep getting 3 symbols on the line with 2 of them the same.  So close!!  Shouldn't the whale tail be a wild card? 😏

We (well, really my wife) received a "Holland America Players Club" offer this week;

 

Highlights are;

So, I researched and priced the cruises and compared to their current “View & Veranda offer”,

The result was the casino offer was maybe 200 dollars less depending on room category, and the “V&V” offer was actually a better offer in higher room categories where gratuities become to be included in the price of the fare.

 

Bottom Line IMO the Holland America Casino offer is no better or worse than Carnival’s.

 

P.S. I would actually pay a full fare cruise price if I could find an on-board casino that had decent payout schedules or odds.  I am growing extremely tired of being preyed upon (not my 1st. choice in words), by the cruise lines in the price of adult beverages, & fairness in “games of chance”.  (Slot machines set at 80% payout or less, 6/5 blackjack, 000 Roulette, Video Poker 7/5)   Maybe time to start vacationing in resorts again.   (Sorry, I will climb down from my soap box, but I feel better for it!)

Wife and i both spinning every day. No luck yet best shot 2 whale tales and a sun on same line. Did finally figure out how to add a picture to the other cruise promotion so have 2 shots now i think.

If two people in the room have DOU offers for yourself and a companion at the beginning of the cruise, while playing in the casino, what happens if there’s a third person?   Can the third person be a “companion” to one of the 2 people who received the DOU offers?

I asked about this in a call to Players Club months ago - my sister and I had the DOU offer for ourselves and a companion and my niece was going to try to sail with us.  I was advised to book myself as 1st passenger, my niece as the second passenger & then my sister as the 3rd passenger. 

 

I can't confirm whether this actually works, because in the end my niece wasn't able to go.  I would call or email  the Players Club to confirm.  If my niece were able to sail, I was going to ask that they send me an email with that info & take it with me to show casino manager if there were any problems.

Never had this happen before.... I called to check on a price drop on a premier (I thought) I have booked for May. The rep told me it was booked under a dealers choice!! I am 100% positive I booked it under a premier offer. I even printed out the page from my offers when I booked because Carnival doesn't show the offer code on the booking. Luckily she was very nice and changed it to premier. I almost didn't call because it is a small price drop, but now I'm glad I did! I would have been very upset!

I also have a premier cruise booked for April so I had her double check that one and it is still correct.

Anyone ever have this issue?

Can someone give me the email for the casino so I can email them and get this in writing? Thanks
