SbbquilterUT Posted March 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 15, 2018 Bermuda is a great island for moving around via bus/ferry - we purchase a multi day pass at the pier and head off. The Port of Calls board has many suggestions for beach and transport.
Rare Hlitner Posted March 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2018 There is a small beach at Kings Wharf...but its certainly nothing compared to some of the other beaches on the island. Most of the top beaches on the island (such as Horseshoe Bay) can be accessed by public transportation (the island has a decent bus network). Nic6318 Posted March 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Like to know what Beach and type of transportation when we are in Bermuda, Kings Wharf. Hi Welcome to cruise critic. There are many beautiful beaches surrounding Bermuda. There is great public transportation as well as private shuttles. Take the time to read up on the Bermuda/Port of Call threads. You can find them if you to "Boards Home" page and scroll down. You can also get lots of information from TripAdvisor and just doing a google search for Bermuda beaches. have a great cruise
leaveitallbehind Posted March 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Horseshoe Bay Beach is one of the nicest and has full free facilities that also provide rental chairs and umbrellas. There is also a small restaurant as well. You can easily take a bus from Kings wharf to and from that runs regularly and takes about 25 minutes each way. In the past they would run special buses to an from the beach only with no stops in between when cruise ships were in port. There are passes or tokens for sail at the depot in Kings Wharf. cb at sea Posted March 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Places that restrict vehicles have GREAT public transport. No worries. Do a bit of research on Bermuda....google it, or get a guidebook! The more you know, the better time you can have!
SailBadtheSinner Posted March 16, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Like to know what Beach and type of transportation when we are in Bermuda, Kings Wharf. The nicest and most popular public beach with the tourist is Horseshoe Bay Beach. The transportation choices to that beach are: public bus (fare - $4.50 token), mini-bus (fare - $7) and taxi (fare up to 4 passengers - $35; 5 - 7 passengers - $44, weekday travel).
