LongHill44 Posted March 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2018 We plan to wear our swimming shorts when we board with the kids and we will have our carry-ons, just curious as to when we can expect our bags to be in the room, on average.
Yazoo cruiser Posted March 23, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2018 We have been on ships where the luggage was there when we first got to the cabin and others where it was 5:00 or later. Just depends on the luck of the draw. Hope you have a great cruise.
Cruiseman38 Posted March 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2018 They can arrive really anytime between once you board until 7 or 8 in the evening. Last cruise on Splendor, we had fttf and had the priority tags put on and I still didn't get my luggage until almost 6:30. My wife's showed up around 4. Expat Cruise Posted March 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2018 Depends upon many factors but 4 to 6 hours seems to be the normal time range. The dinning room dress codes are relaxed on the first night as people may not have bags yet. Best to carry on a few items for the day and not be dependent on bag delivery. sw33twif3 Posted March 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2018 As others have stated, it will depend on the speed of the crew that day. You can wear shorts and t-shirts at dinner that one night. I usually put my bathing gear in my carry on, change into that in my room or a restroom, then change back to my embarkation outfit for dinner. dsotm73 Posted March 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2018 If you’re wearing your swim suits you may want to pack in a carry-on or backpack a change of clothes and any medicine or toiletries you may need before dinner. Check-in luggage USUALLY gets to your cabin by dinner but it’s good to have s back-up plan. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare Essiesmom Posted March 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2018 My bag gets to the stateroom the same time I do. Because I travel with carryon and backpack only. EM
watermelonqueen99 Posted March 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 28, 2018 There's literally no way to predict when your luggage will arrive. Sometime on night one, unless it gets lost. Lol

An impossible ??? to answer.
salty dingo Posted March 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 28, 2018 The crew will suspend services while the muster drill is conducted, so luggage that is late arriving may get delivered after you sail. No way to tell for sure, just like baggage claim at the airport. May be sooner, may be later.
Micahs Grandad Posted March 28, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Carry on what you need thru dinner so not have to worry about bags

As others have said, no one can answer this. Sometimes bags come quickly, other times it is evening.
