angiem0217 Posted March 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Found these in the photo album. Can not believe how small this ship was compared to today’s ships Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

NPCIN Posted March 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2018 I sailed on my first Carnival cruise on the Mardi Gras in 1990. Amazing how things have changed. I'd love to see more photographs of her.

sanmarcosman Posted March 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 27, 2018 Another fun fact is she was designed to cross the North Atlantic in winter which has some of the roughest seas on earth. Thanks for the memory. :)

grammy c Posted March 28, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Just gotta say! You had to be there to get it!!! Things have changed so much, but I wouldn't change a thing! The old days were FABULOUS. Today's sailing is modern. I still cruise for the magic of the sea. Enjoy All!
N7786W Flyer Posted March 28, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 28, 2018 I've posted these before, but always enjoy looking at the older pictures from the Mardi Gras. These are from our cruise on her in 1984. Skeet Shooting off the stern... My wife's nightgown (the stewards used to lay out my wife's nightgown for her...along with a rose). Some of them would go so far as to shape the nightgown into a flower (this was prior to the towel animals). I'm sure most women would highly object to this practice today. The pool area... N7786W Flyer Posted March 28, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 28, 2018 A few more... The Mardi Gras at Ocho Rios... The Men's Nightgown Contest (highly politically incorrect in today's society) The very popular (in time's gone past) beer drinking contest (usually followed by the pillow fighting contest)
N7786W Flyer Posted March 28, 2018 #18 Share Posted March 28, 2018 A few pictures of some of the public lounges... Our inside stateroom....back in the day when you could NOT push the two beds together to make a King.
N7786W Flyer Posted March 28, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 28, 2018 Our Inside Stateroom...this is before you could ask the steward to push the two beds together to make a king. The Dining Room... Some shots around the pool...
N7786W Flyer Posted March 28, 2018 #20 Share Posted March 28, 2018 The Mardi Gras at Cozumel... Lastly, me and my VERY beautiful wife during the cruise. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary during this cruise. We'll hit 39 years this August. :)
