thewilfords Posted March 29, 2018 #26 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I won the jackpot on the last day on freedom in July 2015. Had to split it as someone else got it too. Still walked out with 1800. Paid for the cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

OHCruisinDad Posted March 29, 2018 #28 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Every ship I’ve been on gave away the jackpot. They had a certain ball limits to win the jackpot but if it wasn’t won on day 1, it rolled over to the next session. But on the last day...The ball limits came off and the game was played till someone won. Sent from my iPad using Forums That has been our experience. On cruises with a "snowball" jackpot, they always give it away on the last day. How much does it cost to play Bingo? I've seen sales from $29 to $69. It depends on the ship and the type and size of the Bingo package (tablets, paper or a mix).
mugtech Posted March 29, 2018 #29 Share Posted March 29, 2018 A good roulette dealer can put that ball just about anywhere he wants it. Just saying... Sent from my iPhone using Forums Must be true, I saw Rick's dealer do it in Casablanca.

Rare BirdTravels Posted March 29, 2018 #31 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I noticed now that most cruiselines use the electronic bingo where the cruise staff presses a button and the computer generates the numbers. I remember when they used the ping pong balls and the machine spit out the balls. They even had someone come up to the stage to verify that all the bingo balls were there. I also remember on the last day on the cruise EVERYONE played because the Jackpot MUST go and people would win thousands of dollars. Now it seems like you have to get full card Bingo within a certain amount of balls called. Usually 45 or less. In the old fashion way, yes this is possible because it is totally random and a computer is not "calling" the balls. On my recent cruise, I noticed that a lot of the Bs Is Ns and Os were called but very few Gs were called. When it came up to the 45th ball, there were only 4Gs called which meant no Jackpot Bingo was possible. And you guessed it, yes the 46th ball it was a G and the next 5 balls after. I noticed how TX has posted this exact same message on multiple cruise line boards. Seems to not understand that a ping pong ball is LESS random than a computer since (especially on a cruise ship), ping pong balls can get tiny deformities which skew the randomness of their appearance. SRF Posted March 29, 2018 #32 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Sorry, not paying attention. They pay $7 on a $6 bet. 6 to 5 is $7.20.

To me I hate how Bingos are fixed this way. I know people play for the fun of it and people do win $$ but I just feel that it is wrong to advertise and say you will give away thousands of dollars when they know no one will ever win the Jackpot. Its also sad to see them push and upsell even more and sell last minute Jackpot cards to upsell and make people think they can win. I wonder if the people nowadays playing are first time cruisers who get suckered into this scam. My advice--better luck of winning in the casino at the table betting on red or black on roulette.lol Nope, casino is probably rigged.. It's international waters after all, no agency to verify gaming isn't fixed.
Rare hmorrow Posted March 30, 2018 #34 Share Posted March 30, 2018 I don’t care if it’s fixed. I love bingo and have won many times over the years. Once, even a coverall I figure I’m paying for an hour or so of entertainment that I enjoy..... Helaine
Goofyfanatic Posted March 30, 2018 #35 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Sorry, not paying attention. They pay $7 on a $6 bet. 6 to 5 is $7.20. Maybe I am missing something here. Isn't there two SEPERATE bets? The $5 bet to pay and the $1 bonus bet? If that is the case $6 would be the correct payout.
EleventyBangBang Posted March 30, 2018 #36 Share Posted March 30, 2018 You would need a LOT more data than just one game to identify something like that. If you had an entire year's worth of results then maybe.

So they are not cheating the players by keeping .20. The proper payout is $6 not $7.20 Sent from my iPhone using Forums
SRF Posted March 31, 2018 #40 Share Posted March 31, 2018 The last few did not read my reply to the first person who pointed out my error. If you do not do the side bet, you need place a $6 main bet. Then the 6 to 5 payout should be $7.20 and they only pay $7.
tekguy26 Posted March 31, 2018 #41 Share Posted March 31, 2018 Right. So they are not cheating the players by keeping .20. The proper payout is $6 not $7.20 Sent from my iPhone using Forums I think this thread has gone off topic but I'm glad others are seeing the terrible BlackBerry pay odds. I just want to clarify something, the side bets are a to separate wager. They have nothing to do with the BJ odds. However if you aren't waging in $5 increments, they house will round down and you get screwed by a few cents more. Realistically, nobody adds singles to their wagers anyway. You'll either put it on the side bet, tip the dealer, save it until you have, $5 to add to your bet. If you're playing $25 anyway you should avoid these tables. SG65CB Posted April 1, 2018 #42 Share Posted April 1, 2018 I don't know about Bingo jackpots but I have heard them announce that at the last day of Bingo they are giving away a free cruise, and I always thought they played until someone won it. JAMESCC Posted April 1, 2018 #43 Share Posted April 1, 2018 Well I don't about fixing but on Anthem it plain sucked. They didn't have the electronic machines. My wife loved it on Explorer but it flat out sucked on Anthem and I figured Anthem would be the same experience. She loved the electronic game on Explorer, but nothing on Anthem. They made you buy the paper game and the marker. I hope Anthem changes to electronic or offers the electronic game in the future.

Sent from Psycho's iPad using Forums And how many cards are they playing? On our first cruise on Oasis, we won some bingo sheets at the Meet & Mingle. So DW and I went to play. There is 0 chance of me spending money on this. It did get comical at one point... one couple was trying to keep track of 10 (?) sheets at once and kept yelling at the caller to slow down. He then got EXTREMELY slow and that even made them more upset (they felt he was making fun of them... and he was).
