Rare Traveling Fools Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 We returned to Miami aboard the Getaway on March 25th. Once we drove home we realized one of bags was missing. The next morning (Monday) DW call NCL and reported the missing luggage. She was given a telephone number for the Port of Miami and told to call them and file a report. She did so and experienced a very rude PoM employee. She called NCl a second time, had a friendly rep who helped her file an NCL missing bag report. NCL told her it would take 10 working days before we get a response. 10 days seems like an excessive amount of time. Your thoughts?
MizDemeanor Posted March 29, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 29, 2018 I think they gave you a timeline. It seems reasonable to me. I hope you are reunited with your lost bag, BTW.
phoenix1181 Posted March 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 29, 2018 The timeline seems quite reasonable especially if you consider it may still be on the ship. I have to ask..................... Didn't you know how many bags you brought? I hope it's located and returned to you soon!
emcelh Posted March 29, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Did you also file a report with the Port of Miami? I would think they would be responsible unless the bag was left on the ship.

JustAllie Posted March 30, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 30, 2018 We left a bag at the Boston cruise port a few years ago! We were in too much of a rush to get transportation and forgot to count all our bags. Luckily we were still in Boston and I was able to go back to the cruise port to pick it up. Hope you find your missing bag!
zqvol Posted March 30, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2018 There are many possibilities here. The OP could have left the bag. It might not have gotten off the ship correctly. The port may have misplaced it. Likely what happened is that another passenger grabbed in by mistake and didn't discover it until they got home, and they don't want to take the time to do the right thing and return it.
