crewzer57 Posted April 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2018 We're going on the 4/8/18 Oasis cruise this Sunday. This is our rescheduled cruise from the 9/10/17 Oasis cruise that was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma, so it has been a long long wait. This is our first Oasis cruise. I bought a new sport jacket for the cruise, but wanted to make sure that on formal nights a jacket, shirt and tie, and khakis would be ok for the main dining room. Thanks. taglovestocruise Posted April 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2018 Not nearly what is was a few years ago. What you describe will be right on for the majority. The Caribbean seems to be a draw for the always casual. Our last trip on Oasis saw everyone at our table in jackets and ties with the women in dresses for formal night. The table next to us was a 2 top with the man in sandles, t shirt and baseball cap, his table mate was in a dress. Our last cruise on Independence had the largest amount of full gowns and tuxedos I could every remember.
leaveitallbehind Posted April 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2018 What you describe will be more than enough for formal nights, which are only a suggested attire and is not enforced as more and more people are dressing more casually for each night of the cruise.
