Was Portofino last time I was aboard her.

That is what is was years ago when I was on board also. Wow, things are really

going to be different for sure after dry dock.

Thanks for the great live review John...enjoying it all! :)

Enjoy the rest of this first leg...and keep your head down while passing by the pirates! :o

It is a bit unfortunate that there is no access to the outside decks for 4 nights. That would be a bit of a bummer for me.

Yeah, but considering what the folks in that area have done, it would probably just be I am not booking a cruise that sails there, but yes, with the lights off, I would love to be up on the top decks looking at the stars at least one night.

So, yes it would suck and that is why I haven’t booked this cruise. Very sad.

John if you have a chance, could you please find out who the Concierges are and whether will they be on the ship after Drydock?

Is the Concierge Lounge only for Suites and Pinnacles? (i.e. no D+)?

...

John posted a photo earlier that said Gold Cards only for the CL.

Is it true that many of the cabins have been smoked inside? Do you smell it?
No smoke in our JS, or anywhere else that I can tell

Was that due to the Asian market?

Maybe, but starboard is the smoking side on most ships

I think you should delete the picture of the letter from the captain, at least make not able to read the codeword for an attack. It's sensitive information and it's only met for you onboard Mariner, no one else.
I look at it differently. Now the pirates know we're ready and they'll find an easier target. You're welcome.

I would be very happy with the Schooner Bar acting much the same as the Diamond Lounge. I would much rather be there than in the lounge during happy hour.
I enjoyed it, no munchies, though

I think balconies are useable

Just found your postings. Now I know why we could not find you at the infinity pool last week. Sorry to hear about the rough start.

What dis Millie mean with “albatross” for the bath amenities? Are we losing these for js/340+ points?
No more Gilchrest/LaOccitane unless in a GS and up. Possible exception for a 340+ in a JS.

The reasoning is we are entitled to an upgrade based on the cabin we booked.

She also mentioned they are investigating some new bath products.

I think she said bath products is the biggest complaint they get. She also said a housekeeping audit revealed practically anyone who asked was getting the premium bath products.

The website says 340+ is entitled to an upgrade. The white tubes are an upgrade.

Q&A was fairly civil. Basically she said no changes, no ship transfers, no new levels.

Drink menu. Pretty standard.

Apparently we are about out of Jamesone0b9f22a2554b7e8e5cc7e2eb8be2901.jpg942f9d31058ece2d66d76c935f85a97c.jpg

Is the smoking side starboard on Mariner now? Same side as the the free soft serve?
