Rare ronrick1943 Posted May 5, 2018 Author #226 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Ron/Rick -Thank you for taking the time to post about the Mariner and your cruise. Your perspective as well as some of the other comments were insightful and I'm sure they will help make our July voyage that much better. If you liked the dolphins, you may get a kick out of the hundreds of sea lions at Pier 39 in San Francisco. Here's the webcam. https://www.pier39.com/the-sea-lion-story/sea-lion-webcam/ Cheers! No thanks, we lived in San Francisco for 20 years, don't need 100's, just one Dolphin at time. Enjoy your cruise, we're looking for too our next on Regent. We'll we cruise Regent again, yes we have another cruise book for next April on Regent so we're hoping they can correct the wrong and make the rest better. We'll be on Oceania in December for a Cuba cruise. Glad you enjoyed the post, until next time.

Rare ronrick1943 Posted May 7, 2018 Author #235 Share Posted May 7, 2018 Thanks Sheila and all the others that enjoyed the trip with us. Getting home was super compared to getting to Miami our first post of the trip. Got off the ship, all luggage on the pier, porter standing 2 feet away, got our luggage took us curbside, car service pulls up and loads the car, off to the airport, walk right up to check-in, get boarding pass, get on the on time plane, get off and "all" luggage appears as we walk up to belt, friends pick us up and take us home. Everything on time---a perfect travel day, couldn't ask for a better day. End to a great cruise.
Hambagahle Posted May 7, 2018 #236 Share Posted May 7, 2018 Thank you so much for all your comments and observations. And I am delighted that getting home was so easy, especially given the nightmare you had to get to the ship in miami! Gerry

It is refreshing to hear all aspects of a cruise and I hope you will take the time to do a similar thread on your next cruise. Glad your journey home was trouble free and straightforward. llam Posted May 8, 2018 #239 Share Posted May 8, 2018 (edited) Now some housekeeping: On the way to dinner a few people were in shorts at the pool bar after six. For us not a problem, but some of you it is. At dinner in Sette Mari two people had blue jeans and one person had white jeans (not dressy type) that we saw. Didn’t ruin our dinner, but if you’re going to have a policy you need to enforce it or drop it. That’s it for this post, hope you enjoyed it. If you have any questions that need an honest answer please ask. Rick & Ron Thank you Rick and Ron for sharing your experience with the Cruise Critic Folks. I like the dress code policy and do not want to violate it. Question: Were the pool and hot tubs open after 6PM? If so we may swim and sit at the pool but should not go to the pool bar rather order drinks pool side? One of my favorite things to do when sailing is to sit in the hot tub during sailaway-llam Edited May 8, 2018 by llam Error

The pool bar was closed.
