AlRajul Posted April 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2018 We have only done 3 cruises so far, and always booked freestyle dining for its flexibility. In July we are doing the Baltic cruise with Celebrity, however only 6pm set dining time was available. We are on the wait list to change to flexible, if we turned up at the later sitting would we be turned away? Also how does set time dining work, do you have to arrive spot on time, or can you turn up a little later? Do you end up on a large table, that you sit at every night? All info gratefully received. CHEZMARYLOU Posted April 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Check with the MDR Maître D when you board and see if they can accommodate you in either select or late dining. It may not happen the 1st night but things might be sorted out by the 2nd night. If you show up for late traditional dining you will not be seated. You could ask the Maître D about showing up for select dining. We've never tried it. There is usually a 15 minute window for showing up past your set time. You can request a table for 2, contact Celebrity or your TA and request it now.
Purplsmurf Posted April 24, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2018 On our last cruise we were only able to get early seating. We were on waitlist for anytime dining, but it didn’t clear. We had to keep the early dining. We asked the Maitre D and he said that we had to be there by 6:20....so that’s what we did.
awhfy Posted April 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2018 Contact Celebrity either by calling Captains Club or via email at CelebrityDining@celebrity.com & request the change to Select dining. I wouldn’t wait until I boarded. Sent from my iPad using Forums
