MarkE Posted April 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 25, 2018 We will be on the Bliss June 23 taking the family for our 50 aniversary, my grandson asked me a question about the race track he saw online that the cost is $7 a session how many laps in a session. I called NCL they said they did not know. Anyone onboard or does someone know this he said if it is only 1 lap that would not be a race if you start at the back a good point. Thanks for any help. caparcher Posted June 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Just did the Panama run. Go karts is 7 bucks for 8 lap heats. The winner of the race gets the full 8 laps, the slower racers gets whatever laps they complete in the same time frame. The heat takes about 4 to 5 minutes. In our heat there were 6 racers. The winner got 8 laps and the slowest racer completed three laps.
eddeb Posted June 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2018 Just got off the phone with Jorge Cruz our NCL rep. The go carts are now $9 per guest. Hope its not $15 by the Dec. Cruise we are on! lol :( You can see an entire race on you tube> punch in NCL Bliss and you can learn ALL about the ship. Have a nice day and bring LOBSTER back...:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: Ed and Deb Tampa Bay
Fanatico1981 Posted June 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 2, 2018 While it should be 8 laps, its very likely, that they scam on you. In my second race I was close to the slowest driver in round 7, while they suddenly stopped us at the box entry. So a friend of me was in first place and able to make 8 laps, while we had do stop with 7 and 6. Thats not really fair. Futhermore I think that the racing track will be no fun on a ship with many young people. On the panamal cruise it was likely that only up to 15 people use the track per hour. So if you are looking for a slot with not so many drivers, check the monitors on the decks, which will show you the available spots in a semi live mode.
