moongal Posted May 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Does everyone in the cabin have to eat at the same time? If hubby and I want to eat earlier, can we eat in the MDR and the kids (19 &17) eat later in the MDR? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
teknoge3k Posted May 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2018 You can all eat at different times. :)
riffatsea Posted May 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Yes, Everyone can eat as they please. They just tell the people seating them what cabin they are in and they can then be seated. It is nice though for families to sometimes plan to eat together because the rest of the day they may all be running around doing separate things. MommyAJ6 Posted May 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Could we go at 5:45 and then again at 9?

Greggy_D Posted May 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Could we go at 5:45 and then again at 9? They do scan your card the first time. This may not work.
blarko Posted May 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2018 They do scan your card the first time. This may not work. I’ve never had my card scanned. They’ve only asked for my room number.
SadieN Posted May 1, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Another thing..... For brunch you can also eat twice, and/or go separately. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
lizardhowson Posted May 1, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Could we go at 5:45 and then again at 9? Why not ? There is no limit on the quantity of food you are allowed to consume. Make a stop at the Lido buffet between 5:45 and 9 :o
jdoc2007 Posted May 1, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Ive been to the MDR twice in one night with ATD. Had an early dinner, wasnt ready for dessert, went to a show and back to the MDR for dessert.

pacruise804 Posted May 1, 2018 #14 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Could we go at 5:45 and then again at 9? They ask for your room number, I think this is to verify you are in the correct seating (anytime vs. traditional). I would think you could be seated twice (and makes sense for a later dessert), but would advise checking with your Maitre D on embarkation day just to be sure. coevan Posted May 1, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 1, 2018 They do scan your card the first time. This may not work. I doubt they have a card scanner in the MDR.

serene56 Posted May 1, 2018 #17 Share Posted May 1, 2018 Could we go at 5:45 and then again at 9? I couldnt even imagine doing that--LOL and isnt the anytime dining room-- so many seats for so many people.. i could imagine if half the people did that- but at 9 or so it would cut into the show times

I doubt most passengers would do it, but I think it's an interesting option. I know we've had nights where the entrees didn't look good but desserts did, and we just opted for lido. We might consider going to MDR late just for dessert next cruise (or just have a lighter meal of apps, salad & dessert and skip the entree). lbosarge Posted May 2, 2018 #19 Share Posted May 2, 2018 I love the idea of split the meal. May have to try anytime dining.
