njhorseman Posted May 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) I don't see one word about a "board shakeup" in the article. By definition "named officer" means the corporation's CEO and the four most highly compensated executive officers other than the CEO, so all we can say with certainty about Binder is that he was not among the four highest paid officers in the company. Binder wasn't a board member regardless, nor were any of the other named officers other than FDR. Edited May 1, 2018 by njhorseman

njhorseman Posted May 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) Didn't you see the COB is leaving the board?? I don't see one word about that in the article you cited. Nor do I see anything to that effect on the NCLH website. Edited May 1, 2018 by njhorseman
rallydave Posted May 1, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted May 1, 2018 I don't see one word about that in the article you cited. So sorry, posted the incorrect link. Here is the link about the board http://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/news-headlines/longtime-norwegian-cruise-line-holdings-chairman-will-step-down.html?utm_content=Longtime%20Norwegian%20Cruise%20Line%20Holdings%20chairman%20will%20step%20down&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Seatrade%20Cruise%20News&utm_contact=19900553&utm_term=Newsletter_Seatrade%20Cruise%20Weekly%20News&utm_campaign=134589

Revell is 82 years old, so you might expect him to step down sooner rather than later.
Rare TLCOhio Posted May 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2018 So sorry, posted the incorrect link. Here is the link about the boardhttp://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/news-headlines/longtime-norwegian-cruise-line-holdings-chairman-will-step-down.html?utm_content=Longtime%20Norwegian%20Cruise%20Line%20Holdings%20chairman%20will%20step%20down&utm_source=Email&utm_medium=Seatrade%20Cruise%20News&utm_contact=19900553&utm_term=Newsletter_Seatrade%20Cruise%20Weekly%20News&utm_campaign=134589 Appreciate this link and especially the follow-up comments. From my reading of this actual story and some added research, here is my take. It seems that the soon-to-be-retiring Board Chairman is now age 82 and has been on the NCL Board since 2005. It does not seem like any type of major management "shake-up". Just a normal "transition" as a Board member gets older and maybe is ready to "move on" with less worries/responsibilities. Plus, any major corporation must be planning and preparing for the future, seeking to have more Board diversity, etc. Seems fairly clear and simple to me. Not sure the headline of "Board Shake Up" fits and/or is totally accurate. THANKS! Enjoy! Go-Bucks! Posted May 2, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 2, 2018 Board Chairman is now age 82 and has been on the NCL Board since 2005. Maybe he just wants to relax and cruise away his retirement?! ;)
