spanishguy1970 Posted May 17, 2018 #51 Share Posted May 17, 2018 I have seen some take the Freestyle into a whole other level, that said, I always wear nice pair of pants and shirt, casual, comfortable and clean..

Got No Real Name Posted May 17, 2018 #53 Share Posted May 17, 2018 It’s really nice to see so many people on here who agree with dressing classy at dinner. Women: Heels And skirts/dresses. Avoid flats at dinner. As an alternative you could consider loose pants and a nice top or pant-suit. Bling should be commensurate to what you wear - i always say, if you don’t overdress, don’t overbling. Hair/lipstick at a minimum. :) Men: Long pants (denim OK but not light blue) Shirts should be button up/polo-style if possible. No graphic tshirts, but non-collared shirts are OK if they’re plain. Hair done and beard/face groomed - no hats. A chain and watch if possible. It took me a bit to realize this was a joke...

CaptnG Posted May 18, 2018 #56 Share Posted May 18, 2018 One of the things I most liked about my cruise with NCL was the everything goes vibe. Most other cruise lines I’ve felt compelled to comply with the formal nights, but I hate traveling with my fancy clothes. So this time I wore sundresses, husband wore T-shirt and jeans, kids in their normal athletic pants and shirts.. never felt out of place..I brought my high heels, but I won’t the next time because sandals were way more comfortable, and I never felt like I needed to be that dressy. The rest of the crowd was a mix from sparkles and gowns to tanks and shorts, and everything in between. Gotta dress up for work most days, but personally I’m much happier wearing whatever’s comfortable on vacation. Bring what you love and who cares what everyone else does. newmexicoNita Posted May 18, 2018 #57 Share Posted May 18, 2018 i believe shorts are not allowed in manhattan.no worries, the food is the same menu in all MDRs so you wont miss out on a different/better meal by not eating there if he doesnt want to dress up more than shorts. True, but the Manhattan room experience is so much fun. I would never want to miss eating there at least once.
