SarcasmSpasm Posted May 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2018 ...is the likelihood of getting a price drop non-existent? Right now I can pretend to dummy book a cabin in my category online- which is great for checking for price drops. In the event it becomes sold out in the category, will I be out of luck/ineligible for a price drop? Not sure if I'm explaining my question correctly... taglovestocruise Posted May 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2018 If there are no cabins available in your category then there are no cabins to price. Hard to drop the price of something not for sale.
msmayor Posted May 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2018 As the previous poster said, RCL has no incentive to drop the price on a category that is already fully booked, so there would be no price drop to take advantage of.
SarcasmSpasm Posted May 16, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted May 16, 2018 However, if/when a "kids sail free" promo comes up (which would hopefully help us), I can still take advantage of that, correct? I guess the only way to check the adjusted price though would be to call up my TA....?

Ken at the beach Posted May 16, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Yes it is possible to get a price drop on a cabin when all the other cabins have been sold. It is rare bit it has been reported here a few tines. It happens when the promo has changed and it is then applied to the last listed price for that cabin category. There was a price drop reported on a Rotal suite and there is only one of those. You will need to call to check.

molly361 Posted May 16, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 16, 2018 I didn't think you could either but like Ken said there have been reports on here from a couple of people that have gotten them. They said that they monitor the next available category and if that goes down they call whomever they booked with.
