If you want an original handmade one, go to Ranatonga. That is where I got mine. Remember you can get the factory made one almost anywhere. But to get a true tifaifai go to Ranatonga in the Cooks Islands.

One of the Gauguines was kind enough to give us one. We love it. :)

Yes but the ones on the ship though pretty are not the original handmade ones. Believe me they won't be giving those for free. Those are made at a factory. Here is a close up of mine. You can see the hand work on it. The center is the island, then the coral reefs, sharks and fish. this is just a small piece of the quilt.

She was very nice. But, she wasn't very lucky. When she visited, Hurricane Ike hit. We were without electricity for 9 days. :D
