Anyone been to Good Hope Estate Plantation Excursion - I have questions!

I booked the Royal Caribbean "1700 Good Hope House Tour with High Tea" excursion. I have 3 older teenagers. The excursion lasts 3 hours. I have been looking for information about it and it is hard to find out what exactly it includes.

 

So is the bird aviary, waterfall/pool, and challenge course all free with the house tour?

 

What is the challenge course?

 

Our excursion starts at 1:00 and I would love to be back at the ship by 5:00 to go for our dining time at 5:30. How long does the house tour and "high tea" last? I know the kids will want to go explore the outside. Will we have enough time to do everything and get back to the cruise ship? The excursion says that a shuttle bus leaves every hour but with alot of cruisers, I hope we won't have a problem getting back to the ship.

 

Can you walk through the sugar cane fields and in the woods?

How did it turn out?  We are docking in Montego Bay and considering the Good Hope House tour but my kids really just want to swim, play in the waterfall and do the challenge course.  Do you have to book or tour or can we arrange our own transportation to the house?
