EeyoreRN Posted May 25, 2018 Author #78 Share Posted May 25, 2018 Stanley Park today. We walked the perimeter of the Seawall! Lovely weather, gorgeous views! We figure we walked around 10 miles. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Queen of Adventure Posted May 25, 2018 #79 Share Posted May 25, 2018 WOW! Just wow on that Stanley Park walk! I live just a couple of hours away... just made my "carrot" list for a weekend visit for when I can walk for a longer stretch. Thanks for that ;) Among no sugar added, alcohol free, and "mainly" grain free, I also am gluten free... so even more excited to follow your foodie porn :P
EeyoreRN Posted May 26, 2018 Author #80 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Blue Water Cafe for dinner tonight. Delicious, fresh food and impeccable service! Below see photos of seafood tower (shared appetizer), char, scallops, seared halibut (special) and cod. We also had a spot prawn appetizer (special) and each had a dessert, but sorry, I forgot to take pics. Absolutely everything was scrumptious and I tasted everything...culd not say which dish I liked best...maybe the scallops. The tower had a small taste of jellyfish, which was new to us, and we even loved that. It was prepared with ginger and sesame for a seaweed salad sort of vibe. Trust me, so good! EeyoreRN Posted May 26, 2018 Author #81 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Closer up each tier of tower. They were very knowledgeable and accommodating for our GF needs. They even served GF bread and her own spread. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

EeyoreRN Posted May 27, 2018 Author #89 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Easy taxi ride around $10 to port. Got to the port around 10:30 they allowed people to start boarding by 11:00. The ship is beautiful. Nothing was open until 12:00 including rooms except lido buffet. We had lunch in mdr to discuss DD''s Celiac Disease. buckeyeann Posted May 28, 2018 #98 Share Posted May 28, 2018 Really enjoying this thread! We will be sailing on the Nieuw Amsterdam on June 16 and I can’t wait. Like your daughter, my son (who will be along with us) has celiac disease and I am very interested in hearing about your experience with her dining on this ship. Enjoy your time in Alaska!
