What Beach is it if we water taxi from the port?

I keep reading that ppl suggest the water taxi from port to the main beach. What beach is it? Do you still suggest this due to hurricanes last year, pollution, etc? Looking for an easy beach day with young kids!

It is called Great Bay Beach and it is very easy to get to. There has been discussion on here that the water may be somewhat contaminated from some of the ships in port, so if that is a concern, you should do more research. Other beaches are just as nice (or nicer), but not as convenient to get to. Great Bay is a good easy beach day with young kids.

Great Bay Beach is easy and convenient. People swim there all the time with no problems. :)

Alot of people in the water when we were there last week. Water looked nice and clean
