Cruise Director and Lecturers

Just disembarked 2018 WC yesterday. Looks like Jamie & Dana will be on for 2019. One lecturer we know about will be Terry Bishop...not to be missed! He did 48 lecturers on our voyage between the time he joined in Sydney & ended in LA but will be on for the full 2019 WC. Enjoy his evening entertainment programs, too. Lively music mixed with some comedy.

Thank You

I hope you enjoyed your 2018 world cruise.

Anything we should be aware of?

On a long trip like the WC some things are bound to happen different than planned...so just go with the flow and don't let things get to you. We missed a couple of ports for various reasons such as wind and waves causing unsafe tendering conditions, political unrest in Nicaragua meant we skipped that port. The Nav is known for "brown water" coming thru the bathroom pipes now and then....not unsafe, just let it run a minute. If you have a butler, ENJOY the luxury as we did!

Don't listen to the Debbie Downers who sometimes want to do nothing but complain ("ship is too hot/too cold...food is bland...food came out cooked wrong...ship is tired-looking"). If you have an issue just address it on the spot to give the crew a chance to fix it.

Mostly, just enjoy every minute of it. Get to know your fellow WCers and crew, get involved in activities and games (you'll see!), ENJOY!

Kwaji girl:

Well-put. Succinct and pertinent. The glass is always more than half-full on Regent ships. (Wait staff makes sure that happens.) Add to vagaries of cruising: medical evacuations; and volcano eruptions which interrupt the planned itinerary. Plus, sudden changes in weather causing the ship to catch the tail end of a hurricane. Just hang-on.

We will board Navigator in about a week, and look forward to a great cruise from LA to NYC. No-doubt weather will be a "hot" topic", given the early start to the hurricane season in the Gulf, and perhaps off the Florida coast. Brown water has never been an issue on Navigator--to include an extended 2017 Miami-Amazon River-Miami cruise. The brown water remained in "The River".

Think positive thoughts and, when in doubt, bring up any "issue" with appropriate on-board Staff. On the few occasions when we found this necessary, a particular concern was immediately addressed.

GOARMY!

Kwaj girl, I like your positive style. Looking forward to meeting you this summer on ARCTIC EXPLORATION Copenhagen to Amsterdam.
