TTraub1250 Posted May 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 26, 2018 What are the ins and outs of driving to Cape Liberty once you enter the local area ? Parking Lot does not open according to the website until 10:30... probably to let the arriving ship people leave before the next ships passengers arrive to board. Anyone with experience this year ? We leave on June 3rd on Celebrity Summit.
TeeRick Posted May 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 26, 2018 It is very direct to get there from the NJ Turnpike. Just follow the cruiseport signs. We have been there around 10:30 - 11:00 and it was very easy to drop off bags and park in the garage. You need to take your parking ticket with you to pay when you return at the kiosk machines outside the garage. We went on Anthem and being a larger ship the lines to get to the drop off area were fairly long. When we went on Summit there were no lines. I hope this helps. In general Cape Liberty is very easy coming and going.

TTraub1250 Posted May 26, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Thank you Don... I have been to several boards & the website of the Cape Liberty Parking .... Trying to get more details on best time to arrive, traffic delays, and some small golden nuggets of information, which these boards can provide.. Baron Barracuda Posted May 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 26, 2018 Have sailed from Cape Liberty a number of times, usually arriving 9:30 -10am. Garage has always been open. Note that after exiting NJ TPK you will have to make a couple of turns which are marked by port signs but easy to miss. GPS eliminates that risk. Also, the earlier you arrive the more traffic you will likely encounter on pier from cars picking up disembarking passengers.
TTraub1250 Posted May 27, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Thank you for the golden nuggets... from some of the information gathered it seems that after 11:00 & before 12:00 is best...
mygreyhound66 Posted May 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Greetings. We just disembarked Summit. When we arrived last week we entered into the parking garage (outside lot not the inside lot) at 10:15am and were on board Summit by 10:45am. It was very well organized and efficient both coming and going! Sent from my iPad using Forums

Just follow the signs to 440 S from turnpike and the first exit on right after the overpass will take you to the port road.
