Amster12345 Posted June 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 9, 2018 I have a question. When I was looking at cabin choices for the next cruise, I noticed this new cabin choice. Has anyone stayed in one? It looks like it's a regular mini-suite, but you get to go to dinner without waiting in lines. Is there anything else? Is it worth the extra money? Thanks! wildcats40 Posted June 9, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2018 We recently cruised and had the club class mini suite. We thought it was worth the extra cost. The cabin was more in the middle of the ship and larger in size. We had two half bottles of wine in our cabin when we arrived as well as a glass of champagne. The biggest advantage in our opinion was being able to eat up to three meals a day in the same dining room. We never had to wait and the servers all knew us and our preferences. cedarmom Posted June 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2018 As a Ruby, we took an upsell for our upcoming cruise almost exclusively for priority boarding. I didn't even know what the dining entailed until after it was confirmed. As a low status cruiser, boarding was key. I'm not sure the food would be a big enough draw for us otherwise. voljeep Posted June 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2018 do you have boarding issues, such as mobility, small kids, etc.? how much time did you really save? hopefully, you didn't think you had to follow the email with the 'suggested' boarding times based on your cabin location... BLikeCruz Posted June 17, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Did Club Class last Feb on Sapphire. Missed it the first day and ate MDR and buffet since I didn't know where CC was. After discovering it was same MDR with the entrance on the opposite side. A host stands at the door to greet you and escort you to your table. It takes them a day to know everyone but afterward you are greeted by name and are served by the same wait staff for every meal. On my first CC day I wasn't overly impressed with my waiters. Luckily the second day was busy and rather than wait I opted to sit in another station. Rachael and Albert to be specific. This husband and wife pair were fantastic! I had to talk to the head host but I was adamant that we wanted to sit here for all remaining meals. They made it happen and dining was such a delight that I will only consider CC or full suite just for the experience. I realize I may get someone like the first time but if so, I will try to move around to find great staff. It makes all the difference in the world when your waiters know what you like and don't like. Your service is tailored to that. I for one hate half and half in my coffee but like real cream. You cannot find that on Princess anymore - not even with the specialty coffees. Guess what, every coffee in CC came with a small carafe of real cream that Albert or Rachael fetched from the chef. That is the personalized experience.
