Rare LMaxwell Posted June 17, 2018 #51 Share Posted June 17, 2018 As a shareholder I think it is underpriced. The demand seems to still outweigh supply. My next 4 day cruise in a balcony, 2 ppl, w taxes fees insurance is around $550. There is no value to me increasing my costs approximately 10% to be on or off “first” or a raft of other smaller perks that do not make a material difference in my trip. But I will thank those that purchase on the day my dividends clear.

Donh44 Posted June 18, 2018 #53 Share Posted June 18, 2018 And if fools keep buying it , guess ?? it will be 109.95 next year. I do take offense at name calling. Not necessary. Rather spend my money on FTTF than "trinkets".

Rare LMaxwell Posted June 18, 2018 #55 Share Posted June 18, 2018 How did you get such a great rate? Booked cheapest week in November in an Oceanview; got upsold to a balcony for $25. Had an Amex $100 off $500 credit. Local, no airfare. Had to book OV to get it over threshold; interiors were too cheap to qualify me for the credit. I watch some price tracking sites and when I see "dips and blips" over a certain amount I know it's usually a flash sale.
Rudyard Posted June 18, 2018 #56 Share Posted June 18, 2018 I haven’t quite reached my pain point yet! I still will purchase it if available. I have. I've had FTTF for my last three CCL cruises. I'm not worried about having my cabin ready and being one of the first ones to board (although I did take advantage of that), but mainly got it for the Zone 1 debark and Guest Services line. Now it's at a point where it's almost as much as some of the better excursions. I'll just wait and get to the port around 1:00 pm. By the time I board with no lines the rooms will be ready. I'll deal with debark when the time comes. I'll cross my fingers and hope I don't have a problem serious enough to end up in a GS line behind twenty people wanting to remove tips so they can have more casino money on the last night. FTTF became available for my January 2019 cruise about a month ago and isn't sold out yet.

I completely agree with you about what riclop said. Just because you don’t see the value someone else sees in a product doesn’t mean it doesn’t have value. And to call them a fool just because you don’t agree with them shows that you are the real fool.

I personally only bought it at 49.95 and that was before staggered check in. Not a value for me anymore. I enjoy getting there at about 1:30 now, walk right on and go to my room to drop off my bags (we don't porter any bags either).
evandbob Posted June 18, 2018 #59 Share Posted June 18, 2018 I know why I don't have Global Entry. I don't drive outside of my area frequently and to get the Global Entry, it's a 3 hour drive each way to do so. I know it's not as good, but I opted to get a Known Traveler Number as I could do that locally. I do have a passport. I hope that Carnival continues with FTTF and people keep buying it because that money can help with increasing cruise prices or with the additions of other things for all of us. If you don't want it, don't buy it, but saying people who do are fools shows your lack of intelligence and class. You used my quote to reply, yet go on a rant about my "lack of intelligence and class"? Now some other posters said things similiar, BUT I CERTAINLY didn't. Retraction and clarification is necessary on your part.
