Hint: If you simply use Google and type in your ship and cabin number, you'd be amazed at how simple it is to find everything you want to know about your cabin.

Except that many of the sites that show pictures of the cabin are using stock photos and are showing the wrong layout.

I must have good luck with mine. I typically find walk-through videos that people put on you tube. Pretty cool. :)

The you tube videos are good but not necessarily available for all cabins. I’ve tried those for some of the oddball cabins that are in question and the videos do help. It’s the websites that claim to show cabin photos that are in question.

I had 8158 ( cat. 8D) with the beds next to the balcony, which I found much better than the cabin I was moved to for one night while they had to fix the AC. The other had the bed by the bathroom, and the layout was much better with the bed by the window, even if I usually prefer the sofa by the balcony. On Symphony, the cabin did not look so great with the sofa by the balcony. The niche with sofa incl downlights looks much better. In the other cabin, you get the ceiling spotlight right into your head.

 

On my next Symphony cruise, I have 8302, where would the bed be ? ( And how do some people know all about the position of the beds ? Can you read this from the stateroom plans somewhere ?)
