JoesoJoe Posted June 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 29, 2018 On the bridge cam this image was captured. No idea what is causing this. Anyone know? Guesses? I was trying to research and found another example on a completely different ship with two spheres...totally strange.

Rare mking8288 Posted June 29, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2018 TGIF, must be a slow day for some ... very busy day at area airports for travelers, be safe !! Anyway, it wasn't from a full moon or lunar event - just the reflection from light(s) inside the bridge, bounced off the interior angled/sloped window ... near where the bridge cam is mounted. Not all ships, I've seen this many times ... mostly, if not all, exclusive to the mega/plus class ships only. Nothing to it

Doug R. Posted June 29, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Sorry I was a bit off in my navigation when I powered up my ship to return to the mother ship, didn't realize I surfaced so close to your ship on my way up.

jennaflower Posted June 29, 2018 #12 Share Posted June 29, 2018 LOL! "Goodbye and thanks for all the Fish" (A famous last line from a sci-fi novel) Best book EVER!!! It’s just the reflection of the camera against the window at night. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare JamieLogical Posted June 29, 2018 #13 Share Posted June 29, 2018 I think the other posters are correct (the serious ones, not the silly ones). I think it is likely a reflection off the window that is in front of the camera.
dexddd Posted June 29, 2018 #14 Share Posted June 29, 2018 This has been asked before which I replied. It is the night light on an Axis brand camera. It is the ring around the iris that lights up in dark conditions.

RD29P5 Posted June 29, 2018 #21 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Light refraction though a spherical lexan cover over the camera lens. I get something similar once and a while on one of the security cameras at work if the light hits it just right.
Rare mking8288 Posted June 29, 2018 #22 Share Posted June 29, 2018 Probably serving a suspension. ;p TPMS sensor failed on 1 of the 4 moving wheels - component replaced, it's a dirty job for my mechanic ... Conditions corrected forthwith. MKing - you slip a cruise in last week? You've been quiet. Nah, typically don't cruise between June & September, unless - but, gotta make final payment for the Halloween Escape run, or else ... Casino Comp Chick is running the M&G, counting 75+ heads thus far, not bad at all - many "solo" & it's supposed to be packed w. the casino crowd. Back on related topic - Gem's bridge cam now ... still running in the fog, off Nantucket/Cape Cod & bound for NY early tomorrow.
