On Star 24th May, 2019 departure - Greek Isles cruise and hoping someone posts more about this year's experience at the ports. Our nine night cruise is port intensive with no sea days. I can't wait.

@JayfromBNA, which Greek ports are you interested in? (only Greek ports and not the others, correct)

 

We had only 3 greek ports

 

Agrostoli - has new pier but only 1 ship can dock. Second ship has to tender. NCL is too cheap to pay higher docking price. So it was tender. This is relatively new port. Limited ship and private excursions are available (search this board and google it). Easiest DIY is to take bus/taxi to nearby beach (full of chairs/umbrellas one foot apart and still gets fuul, so go early. Beach is ok but water is nice.

 

Athens - Dock at E12 or E11. If relying on web for DIY transportation, make sure that information is about E12/E11 and not other berths and also that information is recent. Recommend taking X95 bus.

 

Santorini - If doing DIY trip, set 5:30 alarm and stand in line for tender tickets (line start about an hour BEFORE they start issuing tender tickets at 6:30) Pax without tender tickets could not get off the boat even at noon. Dont know why NCL can not distribute tickets previous night and why the loading process (at least on our cruise) was so slow. Availibility of tenders was not an issue. Empty tenders were waiting for NCL staff to finish loading.
