Pee0305 Posted July 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2018 Hi, I am in the process of checking in for our forthcoming cruise and have arrived at the on board account section. I am very unsure which option to go with - A) RCI exchange rate or B) credit/debit card rate. What is the general consensus please? What is the RIC exchange rate like? Thanks
Ken at the beach Posted July 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2018 Always allow your credit card to do the exchange rate, never Royal.

travellovers2 Posted July 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2018 We always let our credit card do it even in stores/restaurants when they ask you what currency you want. We always choose their currency.

cruiseguy1016 Posted July 10, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 10, 2018 RCI offers this service as another way to make money. They will never allow themselves to lose money so their exchange rate will always be higher than the banks. Your bank will always give you a fair exchange rate. As all of the other responses have indicated, allow your bank to do the exchange.
