beerman2 Posted July 12, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Last cruise 8 day Southern 2 sea days, 4 port days, 2 sea days. Loved it!
TrinaLC Posted July 12, 2018 #27 Share Posted July 12, 2018 We love sea days. The more the better. I find looking out at the ocean, the movement of the ship so relaxing. We are big readers though, and load up our kindles. Even if you are not a regular reader, maybe pick up a couple of best sellers for those sea days? Or plan a family gin rummy afternoon or similar to break up the day? Sent from my iPad using Forums

Bookworm1985 Posted July 12, 2018 #29 Share Posted July 12, 2018 I love sea days. I would gladly take a cruise to nowhere and just enjoy being at sea. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
elcuchio24 Posted July 12, 2018 #30 Share Posted July 12, 2018 I mean, three or maybe 4 ports in a week I would say is average, so I dont see a downside. That said, we do really love the S.Carribean itins from SJ....a port everyday, that is certainly my favorite.
KarimaJ Posted July 12, 2018 #31 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Personally we cruise for the ports so we don’t like a lot of sea days. Some cruise to be on the ship so sea days would be more enjoyable but not for us. We have only been on 5 cruises so there are still lots of places we want to see and 3 sea days would be too much for us. Depends what you’re looking for really. xDisconnections Posted July 12, 2018 #32 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Go for the sea days. Our next cruise is ten days and only visits three ports. We’ve also done two Transatlantic cruises which have a large amount of sea days and at least a week without seeing any land. Our upcoming South America/Antarctica Cruise has a pretty good amount of sea days and scenic cruising days also.
meatloafsfan Posted July 12, 2018 #33 Share Posted July 12, 2018 Try it. If you don't like it, don't do it again.
