Suite Perks

Recommended Posts

Luggage valet service is offered to all passengers for a fee. It used to be $20 but not sure if it has increased to $25. Excellent service and well worth taking advantage of if you qualify. Free to suites.

Service is for airline passengers with certain airlines. Flights have to be after a certain time, usually around 12 noon. Not available at all ports.

Basically you pack your bag, leave outside your door on the last night of the cruise, and pick up at your home airport on arrival at the luggage carousel. You are given your boarding pass for the flight and can go straight to the airport.

Per RCI website:

"This service is available in these selected ports:

  • Fort Lauderdale
  • Port Canaveral

and on these selected airlines:

  • American
  • Delta
  • United
  • US Airways
  • Jet Blue
  • Southwest Airlines"

We have never been able to utilize this perk: Either coming off of a transatlantic cruise, or not into one of the two ports listed.

Bummer as reviews of this service are all positive!!

No even close to what I thought it meant. We have an easy drive to Port Canaveral.

This part of Royal's website has not been updated for a long time, I would not trust it until they fix it. For example, they left out Miami (as mentioned above) and US Air no longer exists. There is also a very similar service provided by the city of Seattle.

You will also receive all of this info in your room during your cruise. We had two families with kids - 9 checked bags. We had suites so it was free plus we used our Delta perk for free luggage (place on form for Delta info ) and it worked great. I would recommend if you can do it.

We used this perk for 2 years, for free with a Star Class room, and are bummed we cannot use it this Sept. on the Anthem. It was wonderful to just leave the boat and never see our luggage until we arrived back in Reno. If you have the ability to use it, you will not be sorry.
