addicted cruiser Posted July 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 16, 2018 My son uses a C-PAC at night. We are looking at an Oceanview room for his family and was wondering if the electrical outlets are near the bed or do we need an extension power cord. Would the cabin Stewart be able to supply the extension cord. My son will be also travelling with his 8 month son. Are cribs provided upon request or do we need to figure out something else for the baby to be secured when sleeping. Thanks for your responses
ready2cruzagain Posted July 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2018 You do mean a Cpap machine right because I don't think he would be traveling with a political conference lol Below is a link to the special needs department. They will provide distilled water if he uses it. They can provide an extension cord but we always take one since there could be a possibility of not getting one and it is easy to pack. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/en-us/Manage-Your-Booking/Special-Needs.aspx Can't help you with the crib. GomezAddams Posted July 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2018 I've been a hosehead (CPAP user) for 10 years. I gave up on using distilled water around eight years ago. While tap and bottled water will ruin a humidifier tank a bit faster than distilled water, it still takes years, and tanks are cheap. I've saved a ton of hassle by switching to tap water. For the few days of a cruise, bottled or tap water won't hurt the tank. Beside, I think cruise ships all provide fresh water by distilling seawater anyway, don't they? Thanks for your responses Yes, the cabin attendant will be able to provide the extension cord but you should fill out the special needs form on line. There are no really convenient plugs next to bed. We run cord from desk with those strong magnets on the ceiling to hold it out of the way. Also request the crib early as they don't have that many onboard.
