I may be wrong, but I think I’ve read that Uber can drop off but can’t pick up. Something to do with Taxis and their contracts?

Yes...many have....Quick and easy for us this past October to get from Cape Liberty to EWR.

Have taken Uber the last two Fall cruises with no issues both to and from the port

Used Uber on the first cruise back when Adventure repositioned in May, was really quick and easy..

Same here. Used Uber to pickup our rental car. Good experience.
