Sceanic and Uniworld European cruises

I would really like some advice from anyone who has been on either Scenic or Uniworld, or ideally both, and how they compare. My husband and I are thinking of taking one of them for a European trip next year (2019) but although we are quite regular sea cruisers we have never tried a river cruise. So my questions are: how all inclusive is 'all inclusive', is it worth the extra to have a suite with a veranda or a French balcony or even just a window and finally, what's the dining like?
