And if you are sailing from Europe most of the sea days will be 25 hours long due to the time changes. If sailing from North America most sea days will be only 23 hours long.

Sailing from NYC, thanks for info

Play bridge. The NCL TAs that I have sailed on had nice sea day bridge programs, with directed games as well as beginner and intermediate lessons.

Hmm do not know how to play but always wanted to learn

Join your roll all. We have a large group for ours inNovember and in addition to the usual slot pull and cabin crawl, we have sea day LRC, crippage and trivia being organized by various members. And I'm looking forward to just watching the seemingly endless sea in between the fun.

It will be what you make it.

Sea days are the best.... there are all type of activities onboard --- game shows, movies, karaoke... music all over - if the weather is nice there is the pool activities -- and shopping, spa... casino... love the sea days best!

On our Transatlantic we had several port days first and then our sea days. I spent lots of time uploading and organizing all the pictures I took. It was great. They also have plenty of activities to keep you busy. Read some good books, nap and just enjoy the lazy days.

We have never done a TA but have done a TP in both directions with lots of sea days on both. My wife loves the bridge, lesson in the morning and then "competition" play in the afternoon.

I always find lots to do.

I wonder if someone would scan and post some TA Freestyle Dailies for you.

As said the day lengths depend on the direction. In the TP you also gain or lose a day!!

Oh wow thanks all

I think I’m really going to enjoy this at first was going solo but once my daughter figured out the WiFi available, premium so at night she can log into work she is coming, might as well was paying for two anyway

Get on a progressive trivia team, you'll play every sea day, it is so much fun -- standings are posted at Guest Services everyday. It sort of turns cut-throat about day 3......

That sounds like fun

Some people love sea days. Others really don't like them at all. For those who love them, there are many reasons and they are often very individual. I love the laziness and the feeling that nothing needs to be structured or routinized. I tend to sleep in just a bit before going to breakfast. I love being able to have a very leisurely breakfast with nowhere I need to go. I load up my Kindle and have a lot to read. I take a nap if I feel one coming on. I practice tai chi and meditation -- both are wonderful at sea. If there is an observation lounge as there is one the Jade, I often hang out there while reading. I participate in scheduled activities if something appeals to me. I walk the promenade every day. We also usually share a table at meals to meet other people. It's fun to take in a late show knowing that I don't need to be up early. Love sea days!

We have been on 5 TAs now. We were a bit skeptical boarding our first one back in Oct 2011 (Epic) but we needn't have worried - loved it So we went again Oct 2012 (Epic), Oct 2015 (Escape), Oct 2016 (Jade) and Oct 2017 (Getaway).

The Dailies … they are double spaced on port days but narrow single spaced on sea days - so much activities crammed in.

Last TA we sat in Atrium and saw 3 movies - such fun being served drinks and popcorn!

You need to find time to be BORED!!

I've been on five transatlantics and two of them were with NCL. NCL's activities aren't like some of the other cruise lines. RCL offered dance classes in the afternoon that were hosted by a comped professional dance couple. NCL's were few and taught by a crew member and many were at night during the dinner hour.

No lectures on NCL while other lines comp some really interesting people.

Besides trivia, bingo, and how to fold towel animals or a dollar bill, NCL was very weak on activities.

Through CC's roll call, we found a large group of passengers who met in the back of the Windjammer to play cards or other games with. We made our own fun.

When was your last TA with NCL and which ship?

I asked because each time we go on TA with NCL we find that there are more and more activities.

I was on the same cruise as MarkandDonna and had a great time. There were lots of things to do. Had lots of activities, trivia, dance lessons, crazy golf... etc.

Cruise was on the Jade, April this year.

May I ask which ship you preferred & why? We will be doing a TA next April and are trying to decide between Jade, Star and Epic. Thank you
