mialeighs Posted July 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Hi! Inexperienced cruiser here. I assume the cruise ships provide toiletries. What is the brand used on the harmony of the seas? Is it name brand? If not, are they pretty high quality? Trying to decide if I need to bring my own shampoo/cond. thanks! Mia:cool:
gerif Posted July 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2018 Don’t assume. Unless you are in a suite, you will have “stuff” in the shower that serves as shampoo/conditioner/body lotion plus a bar of soap.
cruzer_3 Posted July 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2018 I would just take your own. Doesn’t hurt to pack it. I personally don’t like the one available in the staterooms
brookmill18 Posted July 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2018 There's just a bottle on wall of shower labeled "shampoo" and then basic bar soap--1 for sink, 1 for shower. DH finds that perfectly fine, I bring mini bottles of my own! Also, unlike hotels, they don't provide pen/paper so I would pack pens and either a little note pad or stickies just in case you need them. CapeGal Posted July 31, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2018 The posters are right. You can use the stuff in the shower or you can try asking your room steward for the little plastic squeeze bottles. They are made by some company called Bio Energy cosmetics by Albatross. One bottle says MOISTURIZE, one says SHAMPOO. I personally don't like them. My husband will use it just cuz. I bring my own stuff because it's bad enough dealing with humidity hair (think POOF), I won't deal with "stuff". LOL Long story short---bring your own. karena1 Posted July 31, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2018 I always take my own toiletries, like my stuff, not what they have in the bathrooms. I also always take my own blow dryer, cannot stand the ones that are in the cabins.

Paper usually isn't a problem on RCI...I use the back of all those useless in cabin upsales next cruise, spa etc etc.
jyasneski Posted August 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 6, 2018 I wasn't impressed with the upgraded toiletries in our JS last week. I don't have lots of hair and I had to use half the bottle of shampoo each time to get a good lather.
