gakawgirl Posted August 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2018 we are trying to choose our cabin on the Royal for the ABC's in Nov. always wanted to try an aft cabin. those left include A736, E731 and M725. we do want to be able to use the balcony at night and when not in port. we would like some cover from the sun but not total shade. is soot a problem with all aft cabins? also considering R729. we do enjoy the nightlife, clubs, shows etc. but don't want to hear it all night while trying to sleep. thanks! EMS8 Posted August 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2018 We were in R735 on Royal in March of this year. The balcony was at least 100 sq ft. There was some light soot on the table and chairs each day. Our steward did a great job of keeping the balcony clean. The balcony was partially covered and we used it a lot. Never had any noise issues at night.
gakawgirl Posted August 22, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 22, 2018 thanks for the info, greatly appreciated. where would I look to see what would be above and below a cabin? is it on the Princess site and I just do not see it? thanks again. If you look on the deck plans you can find your cabin then look at the deck above and below you. Hope that helps!
rockdoctor Posted August 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2018 We were on the Royal for 3 weeks in a B deck balcony. There was a minor amount of soot on one morning. We attributed this to the partially covered aft balconies on B and D deck. There is also a lack of privacy on the other decks.
