Love it! Doing this exact itinerary Oct 7th. I wish DH’s and my time off policies were flexible enough for us to take a week off with just a few days’ notice, so jealous! Especially since we live in FL and would be able to take advantage of some last minute sales if they popped up.

OK, for anyone doing a last minute cruise 4 days previous seems to be the cut off date. We were able to print this before noon. Tonight the planner locks down at 11:59.

So what did I get accomplished at the office today, not much. LOL. I got to high five my CEO who is leaving for a Norwegian Cruise on Saturday. Ironically, she going on NCL. I denied my HR Manager, she’s not going on a cruise.

 

I did treat Head Office to Mucho Burrito for lunch today, in honour of my cruise with two Mexican ports. I thought it was much better option than an open faced fish and onion Norwegian sandwich.

 

Haddock burrito.

 

 

Quesadillas.

 

 

Steak for me.

 

 

Bring on the Mariachi Band.

 

 

Notice anything different other than no burrito?

 

 

 

Got a cut and a shave on the way home. Picked up US money too. Also checked my moms house. She is in England right now. I am either going to call her tomorrow or leave her a note saying we are away. Her place attached to my farm, so it is only minutes away.

 

Jeep is gassed for Saturday and DTW is in the navigation. I’m working from home tomorrow so wrapping up a few items and final pre-travel items.

 

Lisa and I just laughed, boarding passes can be printed tomorrow at noon.

 

This also made me laugh.

Lisa ran a few missions today. She also completed the packing. There are a few last minute items but we were basically done in 3.5 hours. It amazing to think that it took weeks to pack for Alaska.

 

Tomorrow afternoon is Owen’s last day of PeeWee hockey camp. Today he learned about body contact, it starts for him this year. He was drafted today and the 30 kids in the camp will play on two teams against one another. We will go tomorrow and watch the game and have supper out. No more dishes after Lunch.

 

Tim, get ready. It’s Lobster Fest at the Keg. MMMM, food porn tomorrow.

 

And just to add another small item to our didn’t need it to happen tonight list. These two showed up at our place. We have nicknamed them Bevis and Butthead but their real names are Leo and Pal. They are cute and only a few months old. The only time Lucy moves quick is when they show up. Our neighbours picked them up and it is all good.

News Flash, for some reason we have some OBC. We are going to take it to casino and let it ride. After Alaska I should be able to turn it into $300 in minutes. Lisa on the other hand, gone in seconds. Watch out nickel slots, I’m coming for you.

We did that same Itinerary on Allure last month. It was great. Look into the excursion to Little French Key on Roatan. We did the VIP package and it was great.

Loved snorkeling at West Bay beach on Roatan. Best snorkeling we've done in the Caribbean. Even better than Bonaire.

I travelled in a balcony on Harmony with my sister and her friends after having only done Sky/Star class.

 

 

 

The only thing I missed was getting walked off at disembarkation! There were a few other things, but they were minor.

 

 

Luggage valet and might do express walk off. A wait and see.

 

What a great surprise! Need a distraction as I wait to leave on my own cruise at end of September.

It’s about the only week in the whole year we could do this. Had Owens baseball team won the season he would have been at provincials this weekend. You are right, it is exciting.

Waiting with bated breath for this review -- we are on the Allure's eastern itinerary in December. What a lucky kid to have his back to school wish granted, and how special that he wants to spend his last week on vacation with mom and dad. Have a great trip!

I get 5 weeks of vacation time each year but we only manage to go away for 2 of the 5 weeks. I’m super impressed with your ability to use yours to get away!

 

This is a GREAT week for a trip like this too - if our kids didn’t go back to school next week we might be considering it too!!

 

Will be following along - Enjoy the warmth and the flowrider as much as you can! Soon enough it will be back to school and the cold hockey rink and fall Canadian snow!

I love cruising spontaneously! Have a great trip, we are doing this itinerary on Allure on Oct 21. But I just got an email yesterday with a great deal, so I booked Harmony for Oct 6th! My husband just shakes his head and says, Make sure you put everything on my calendar so I know when and where I have to be!

This sounds eerily familiar lol! A few months ago, Hubby informed us that he took a week off work to hang out with us before the kids go back to school and info back to work. We asked the kids what they wanted to do...priced out a few land vacations...the kids asked two things...Will there be a lot of walking? Why can't we go on another cruise?! The end result? We just got off Mariner last week. We booked it at about 2 1/2 months out, I thought that was last minute! [emoji38]Have a great time!!

Hey that sounds great! so much fun. Our cruise leaves Aug 30th so were getting excited also. However don't forget to turn off the thermostat, shut off the main water valve, stop your mail, and turn off all non essential appliances. (unless you have people / animals staying in the house while your gone) Have fun and Good luck!

Wow I am inspired. We are also on Allure doing this itinerary from Miami at the end of November. Now I do have an extra week holiday this year to either carry over to next year or take a cruise before the November cruise! DH loves the flowrider too and now only wants to go on ships with 2 of them.
