nayuval Posted August 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Hi, Is there any program or schedule of the kids clubs (12 years and 7 years old)? Or do we need to wait for the cruise itself to see it? We are first timers so don't know what to expect. Thanks
taglovestocruise Posted August 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Did you google RCCL kids programs. There is a lot of info. They are pretty strict about age groups and your kids are to far apart to be able to be together. Also at age 12 the kids can sign themselves in and out. We took our 12 year old granddaughter on Oasis, and for almost a year before the cruise all she asked is that we did not put her in the kids club. Once onboard it was almost impossible to keep her away. She skipped several dinners in the MDR so she could eat with her friends in the club. RCL kids club staff are amazing. I believe that at age 6 they can be picked up after a quick dinner in the MDR and the parents can enjoy a leisurely meal. They serve the kids in under 30 minutes. falynrayn Posted August 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2018 Here is a link to a thread about Adventure Ocean with pictures and schedules for the different age groups. However, this link is for Adventure of the Seas. Different ship I realize so different schedule. However, it should give you a basic idea on how things work. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2636403
falynrayn Posted August 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 31, 2018 We will be on Allure in April with a 12 and a 15 year old. Both are in the teen groups. For your 12 year old, s/he will be able to sign themselves in and out on their own. It has been recommended that on the first night there is a meet and greet for that age group and that my kids should attend that as that's when they will most likely meet kids their ages. The rest of the week will be hit or miss as to whether that age group will hang out in the teen club or just hangout by themselves around the ship. For your younger child, you should register that child on the first day (embarkation) for Adventure Ocean during their open house hours. Its also a goo time to view the different places where they will be hanging out.
