Bite Into Maine food truck outside of Portland

Hello, we will be coming into Portland on the Serande and want to have lunch at the Bite Into Maine food truck. Does anyone know the best way to get there besides renting a car? Uber? Lift? Bus?

Thank so much!

Taxi to Fort Williams is about $20 each way, Uber $10 each way. Personally, I'd stay intown, there are lots of food trucks in Portland, and lots of fine restaurants within walking of the pier. For lobster or a lobster roll, I'd go to High Roller up Exchange street (1/4 mile from pier), and get great selection of local craft beers as well.

You get better views of the lighthouse when coming into port early in the morning, IMHO. Better views down Casco Bay through the islands from the Eastern Prom, about 1/4 mile from the pier, where you could take your food from High Roller(4.5), Becky's Diner(4), or Portland Lobster (3.5). Fort Williams is nice to visit if you're local, not sure I'd spend the time to go there with a limited visit to Portland. Again, JMHO.

Oh no! Who was the best? Price for roll or lobster dinner?

Probably the ultimate lobster roll is at Boone's Fish House on the waterfront, it is the entire meat (tail, claws, knuckles) of a 1-1/4 lb lobster, for $32.

Most rolls go for $16-18.

Red's Eats was the best by far. Not cheap, but it's huge and tons of tail meat.

#2 was closer to #10 than it was to #1 in quality.

Belle Isle in Winthrop, MA (on the East Boston border, near Logan Airport) is the second best in New England.

I've got a list of about 40 Lobster Rolls that I am constantly adding to and updating.

Is Reds near the port? I’m dying to try it.
