If one has an FCD what is the point?

why risk a FCD on a NON-refundable cruise deposit that you want to reserve your cabin, but not 100% totally committed to taking ??

I know, I know - we only book cruises that we KNOW we are going to take

Yeah but.....eventually you gotta give it up if you want to take that cruise. Just sayin..delaying the inevitable.

We've already got our cruises booked through Spring 2020.

We were hoping that Fall 2020 would be out to take advantage of $1 sale.

Unfortunately this time the sale doesn't help us.  We only book a cruise we know we want to take.

In the end,  you have to pay the fare so we'll have to just wait for new 2020 schedules and

hopefully a good launch fare.

We booked a Crown Princess 10 day Southern Caribbean in March 2020 under the $1 deposit Cyber Monday promotion last evening around 7 pm Eastern time. Was pleased to also get complimentary gratuities and additional onboard credit. I was exploring in the morning and was offered the same deal.  I did not notice if the deal was announced on the opening web page in the morning but it was when Marj and I finalized our plans that evening.;

I booked a California Coastal cruise b2b with a Mexican Riviera cruise under the $1.00 deposit promo yesterday for April/May 2020. Also received complementary gratuities and as a solo, the full OBC for the cabin. Booked the same cabin for both cruises. Have not been on these cruises and would not have booked so far out without the $1.00 deposit promo. Looking forward to both cruises.

Are Alaska cruises ever offered in these sales?

Yes they were .

I believe that most every cruise bookable was eligible.

Monitor here on CC for announcement of the next one (if there will be?) as

the 3 dates that I have booked on were not advertised . Even my TA , a Princess Top Producer , was not made aware of it in advance. Found out about Sale here.
