I know I'm way far ahead of myself asking this question when we don't sail on Oasis till May 10th 2020 but who are the captains of Oasis and do you think they will be the same come May next year? We sailed Anthem twice and love Srecko Ban and was just curious who we might have as captain on Oasis for our cruise? Hey what is the regular Captain schedule is general, I read its 3 months on and 3 months off. Correct or not, more complicated than that? Thanks for any info.

If no one changes ships it should be Göran Petersen. Celebrity has three months on and three months off, Royal has 10 weeks on and 10 weeks off.

Excellent info, thanks. I know most people don't care about Captains when it comes to cruises but I like to know and I'm always interested in the inner workings of the ships but more the navigation part of the crew. Thanks again.

If possible can you try to find out if Captain Stig goes with Serenade to Alaska and Australia or if he will change back to Jewel or Brilliance? Thanks!

He should return Nov 5 so the current Captain is not a temporary fill-in but the rotation has somehow been totally different to your list.

I see what has happened. Explorer is doing what Johnny does on Harmony, they're doing 10/11 week rotations. I'll go ahead and put Capt Kjetil on Nov 5 since I'll be on Serenade and won't be home. I'll make a note that they're alternating 10 week rotation with 11 week rotation.

Does anyone know for certain who was at the helm for the October 9, 2019 sailing of Majesty? I neglected to bring home to staff info for that cruise, and I can find no mention of him in any of the Cruise Compass newsletters.

look in the day 2 compass. It may refer to his first name when it talks about getting your picture taken with the captain on "dress your best/dress to impress/formal night"

Alas, that was the first thing I did after realizing I didn't have the staff info sheet. Also looked for a name with the Ask the Captain event. But there was none. 

 

One might wonder why I'd care about who the captain was on a cruise I've already taken. Well, because I have that info for 50+ previous cruises, and it would drive me crazy. Oh, and if you are wondering why I don't ask in the Roll Call, it is because I can no longer find it, and there was almost zero posts in it anyway.
