Cartagena - Hop on Hop off bus

We are going to be in Cartagena and want to do the Hop on Hop off bus. The ships excursion is $45.00, only $23.00 to purchase tickets direct. They say you have to board at stop 2. Just wondering if anyone has done it and knows how far stop 2 is? We don't mind a walk or short taxi, but want it to be cost effective. If we buy through the ship they pick us up right there.

Haven't done the Hop On bus, but from the map it looks to be about 2 miles from where the ship docks and stop 2. While much of what I have seen of Cartagena doesn't look menacing or ultra seedy, that may be a long walk where you really don't know what the character of the neighborhood could turn out to be. The bus route doesn't go near the docks according to the map on any of its route, so you would need to walk or take a cab back.
