SilkySal Posted October 8, 2018 #26 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Hmmm...maybe the earthquake broke off the small peninsula and sent it floating out to sea. ;) ;p
Rare island lady Posted October 8, 2018 #27 Share Posted October 8, 2018  I guess that would be like the floating islands on the movie Avatar, without the Banshees of course. ;)
Magnetchief Posted October 8, 2018 #28 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Already a thread about it: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2686364 Why did you create a link back to this thread?
Clarea Posted October 8, 2018 #29 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Why did you create a link back to this thread? Two similar threads were merged, so it looks like they linked back to the same thread.
mrizer7773 Posted October 8, 2018 Author #30 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Wondering out loud here.. Wouldn't you think they will need to shut down some of the items to check for structural or mechanical issues resulting from the earthquake? Specifically the zipline and roller coaster. Ken at the beach Posted October 8, 2018 #31 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Wondering out loud here.. Wouldn't you think they will need to shut down some of the items to check for structural or mechanical issues resulting from the earthquake? Specifically the zipline and roller coaster. They may take them out of service if they need to get them inspected however that will not stop them from docking at the island.

mrizer7773 Posted October 8, 2018 Author #35 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Harmony docks on the 11th. I'm sure we'll hear something specific then. Sent from my SM-G960U using Forums mobile app
MixerDave Posted October 8, 2018 #36 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Of course Labadee is part of Haiti - RCCL always said it was their "private island" just a marketing gimmick. Private Island sounds exclusive!

wannalottadough Posted October 8, 2018 #38 Share Posted October 8, 2018 We live here in Haiti. Labadee is quite close to Haiti and it’s in an area we are hearing of damage. But I don’t think it will effect any cruises. At least two comfirmed dead. But it happened in the evening and will need to wait till am to assess all the damage. Stay safe Dawn, so glad you and Mike are okay!
