never_cruised Posted October 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2018 When Royal have it's drink packages included in the offers on it's website is there no way of getting a price without this as we aren't massive drinkers and the prices seem to have increased by a considerable bit since we last looked. pcur Posted October 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2018 Tell your travel agent (or RCCL if you book directly) that you don't want the package and they will reprice it. At least this is what I can do with my TA.
ditmar2007 Posted October 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2018 Find a good US travel agent and ask them to book for you. That's what I do living in Denmark where there are absolutely no perks of any kind.

never_cruised Posted October 28, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted October 28, 2018 (edited) More madness in Royal Caribbean UK pricing. Seen a Med Cruise from Southampton in Aug 19 which is advertised as £1499.00 each for 2 guests sharing an inside stateroom so that's £2998.00 If you look to add a 12yo (which RCCL have as an adult 🙄) the price shoots to an eye watering £6539.00 it's the exact same price if the third person is a child under 12. The crazy thing is I could book two staterooms for 2 adults in each and pay £5996.00 so four people travelling and two staterooms being used for less. Complete madness , needless to say we'll be looking elsewhere. Edited October 28, 2018 by never_cruised
Biker19 Posted October 28, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 28, 2018 ^ that’s likely a web site pricing glitch- use some other site for pricing.

Other cruise lines seem to discount the third person and don't class a 12yo as an adult.

Just checked on another website and got exact same price madness but thanks for your help. I guess it's time to try a different cruise line. Biker19 Posted October 29, 2018 #14 Share Posted October 29, 2018 I assume you are talking about the 8/10/19 Indy sailing - yes, there's some weird pricing going on - that is likely a glitch and/or some temporary pricing issue. The 8/18/19 Explorer sailing has somewhat normal pricing.
