Found these of the Encore Smoking Area in the Everything ENCORE thread.

Tiny - no seating.

Why does the cigar lounge get huge comfy couches and chair, and we don't even get a place to sit?

Just off the Pearl at the beginning of Oct and the smoking areas have changed a bit from the “Unofficial NCL Designated Smoking Areas by Ship” list.  Promenade level 7 is on the starboard side towards the back (outside of the entrance to Bliss nightclub) and only has one small wall ashtray.  Didn’t go forward on promenade to see if smoking was allowed there. Pool deck 12 is port side forward with an uncovered area next to the bar and another area under the bar cover where you can sit at tables and smoke. The cigar club always had cigarette smokers in there without any problems.

Thank you for the recent info about The Pearl. I honestly do not want to smoke indoors, especially around cigarette smokers(which might keep me out of the cigar lounge if they all congregate in there). Indoor smoking tends to make one rather stinky. We have a very large garage where we live and have cigarette smoking friends that come over and party with us. After an evening of only 3 or 4 smokers in that HUGE garage I really stink. All clothes and hair(shower)have to be washed. I think I will be spending more time on level 12 than I thought. Lol.

I am trying to find current info for the Jewel, the spreadsheet says there is a cigar lounge on deck 6, but the deck plans on NCL don't show one. Can anyone please confirm that there IS a cigar lounge on her? I won't book a cruise unless there is one, hubby is a cigar smoker. Thank you in advance for any help!

I believe it is located near Magnums Champagne and Wine Bar on deck 6. However, please call NCL to verify before you book.

To all cruise lines:

Each cruise line should post the locations of indoor and outdoor smoking areas for smokers and non-smokers so everyone knows where to go and can decide where they want their cabin and non-smokers can avoid these areas.  Please list the information on your website.

There are more cigarette smokers than cigar smokers and we deserve a comfortable place indoors, not just the casino when there is bad weather.  There should be an indoor cigarette smoking room for  smokers on each ship with seating for 20 and at least 3 outdoor areas on different levels with seating for 30. We want to enjoy our vacation and we don't want to stand by a smoking pole in freezing rainy weather or hot sun!  Smoking areas need cover and seating.

It would also be great to make the small plastic flip covered ashtrays available for each person so we can pick one up on our way into the smoking area and then we can dump it and put it back on the counter on our way out.  The smoking poles tend to not work that great.

I hope the cruise lines read these posts and prepare for smokers better.

Well stated and I totally agree that the lack of communication and adequate accommodations results in the unnecessary diminishment of people's enjoyment of their vacation, both smokers and non-smokers.

Honestly I don't really care about indoor spaces because I haven't smoked indoors in decades, except in casinos. However, having a choice of covered/enclosed outdoor spaces with a sufficient number of comfortable seating options (not bar stools) is becoming more and more of a priority to me as I get older.

Is this the Sky High Bar on deck 13?

Thanks for list !!  I am confused, though.  Does GEM still allow  smoking on one side of promenade deck?

Just off the GEM and no ashtrays are outside on 7 - and also noticed no smoking signs posted.

Thanks for replying....😉  Though I am  not happy only having one outside area left...Bali Hai. ☹️

I am sure they will soon eliminate the Gem cigar bar as other ships have done...🤔 and if they do, that does not leave many places on a port intensive cruise (which eliminates  the casino most of time !)

Can anyone confirm that the Escape still has the pool side smoking, and H20? I am considering rebooking my Encore cruise to go on the Escape.

Was on the Escape in October. Smoking areas were spice H2O, Waves bar deck 17 and the casino. They did allow you to smoke in the cigar room.
