Pride of America leaves port at 7pm, have to be onboard 2 hrs prior.
That leaves a long day for activites in Ohau prior to getting on the ship.

I would like to hear what some people do on that day. How do you deal with your luggage, etc.

What time did you arrive at the port?

Even though you need to board prior to 2 hours before ship leaves port, you may want to take that time to explore the ship!  We got to port at around noon to board.  It was easier that way instead of worrying about our luggage (and we explored Honolulu the day before).

If you would enjoy a beach day until you have to report to the ship you can check you bags with the bell desk at your hotel.  You can change clothes in the hotel facilities prior to leaving for the ship.  Or, as suggested, check in to the ship early, and then walk over to the the Iolani Palace for a tour.  If it is a day when offered, and you are interested, the Honolulu Museum of Art has tours of Shangri La and you could enjoy lunch before or after at the Museum restaurant.  Have fun,  Cherie
